Hey Guys and Dolls. How is it going? Super well here. Just got caught up on all my edits and now I am about to post a blog about this style shoot that has been on the drawing board for some time now. I was very honored to be working with such an amazing team on this shoot. They all helped me make my dream/goal a reality. But it kind of became something more, because my models really got into character and it kind of became a story. So I am super excited to be sharing not just this shoot with you, but the story. So please sit back and enjoy Till Death Do Us… Part?

Hey guys and dolls, Happy Halloween. So I posted a blog yesterday which I put under the wrong thing. So it kind of just got added today, so if you haven’t checked that one out, please do so.
Anyway, I am going to get to the point on this one, because I don’t have a lot of time today to write you a book, but I said I would post this one. Also shout out to Danny, thank you for letting me know my post was in the wrong area and I am glad you are glad I am back to writing my blogs again and yes I do have another big project underway. I can’t talk to much about it, but I will say that the man behind the Rat Pack shoot is also going to be doing this one, so I am sure it is going to be mind blowing and I know that the Rat Pack post is no longer up, so I will post a photo from that on my instagram. @katherine_boyd_photography
Now, to the point. I had the pleasure of taking photos at an amazing Halloween Costume Party a little over a week ago. So much fun and I also got to meet a very charismatic pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow. He was amazing and I have even had a few friends ask me if it was the real Captain Jack Sparrow and my response to them is he might be better then the real Jack Sparrow. So I am not going to say to much more about this, because the photos will speak for themselves.
So Happy Halloween, stay safe, eat lots of candy and just make it a memory worth keeping.
Hello Lovely Guys and Dolls. I am so so so so soooo sorry that I haven’t written anything for about 2 months now. I have been so busy with no breaks in between. But I am very thankful for those no breaks, because that means I am doing what I love. Also I have gotten some pretty amazing emails from readers that I didn’t know I had and thank you for reading and waiting for another post. I am going to try and drop like 4 or 5 blogs this week, because I want to share all my amazing photo journeys with all of you. One of these includes a Halloween Party I did not to long ago with amazing guest, including a very talented and charming pirate. But I think I am going to save that one for tomorrow, because well, it’s Halloween tomorrow. Plus I am going to also give you a look into my own personal photo shoot where I was on the opposite side of the camera and facing my fears and in 2 weeks I am going to be posting my new site and brand. Like I said, I have been busy.
So I am going to talk a little about this photo session I am going to share with you. We all want great loves in life and this is why we go watch movies, most of the time romantic ones. But even some of the best action and comedies movies have an amazing romance. To me laughing is the key to the best love stories, it is also the key to the best photos. I love when you can see a couple so in love and when you capture that moment you can feel the love coming from the photos. This couple is so in love and you can see it, even after years of marriage and kids. So I hope you feel the love that they share and I hope it will inspire you to find a love, a romance just as amazing as theirs.
“You’re the most beautiful kind of magic. The kind that I can finally feel and believe in without having to close my eyes.” -Zachry K. Douglas
Hey Guys and Dolls, I am back with another one, blog that is. I am so excited to get to share this blog with you. I just love this couple and was so happy to be apart of there special day. I have been very blessed to get to work with couples this year, that are so in love. Love isn’t words, but rather a look, a feeling, a touch and you could see it every time these two beautiful people looked at each other. So now I am going to get to the part you all want to see, the photos. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.
Also to Mr. & Mrs. Greer and all of your family and friends, thank you for letting us be apart of your special day.
Hey lovely Guys and Dolls, I am back with another blog. I know it has been over a week from the last time I posted one, but this one is very special. I love working with couples you can truly see how in love they are and this couple is in love. There is one thing to loving someone, but a whole different thing to being in love. In love, is like air. You need that person like you need air to breathe. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos from this amazing couple’s beautiful day.
Hello again Guys and Dolls. So yesterday I was going to be posting this as the second blog, but it didn’t happen. Instead my little girl happened. So sorry this was a day late, but I am super excited to be sharing more photos from this photo session with you.
This couple was super cute and their location was some what different. However, I must say the location really added a poetic feel and it was more beautiful then some parks I have been to.
So when you think of marriage, do you think of till death do us part or forever? When I think of this couple, I think forever. Anyway, here are the photos from their session. I really hope you enjoy these.
Hello all my lovely Guys and Dolls. So I am back with another blog as promised. Let me start out with saying what an honor it was to be apart of this special day. This couple was just amazing to work with. Everything about this wedding extraordinary, from the dress that the beautiful bride designed, to the grooms handmade ring for the bride, to the location they were married at.
This amazing couple was married Bracken Fern Manor. It was built and once owned by the great mobster Bugsy Siegel. It opened in 1929 and was comprised of three individual buildings consisting of a private gambling club, a brothel, a speakeasy, guest quarters, tennis courts, Olympic-sized swimming pool, barbershop, a private gas station, horse stables, etc. It also had a highly-coveted supply of artesian well water – which was used in the making of moonshine. However it is now just a hotel and a great place to dine. It is also perfect for anyone looking to have that 1920’s style wedding!!!
So now to the part I know you are all waiting for, the photos. Hope you enjoy these as much as I did taking them.
Also if you are looking for a wonderful Wedding Coordinator, Elyse Sherman was just a doll! Her information is below.
Hello Guys and Dolls. So I promised to post at least a blog every week and this is me keeping good on that promise.
This photo event was an amazing one. I am so happy I got to be there for this beautiful day. What a rich life this man has. Such an amazing family who loves him and his beautiful wife by his side. This is what 90 years looks like and I can’t say it enough, but it is beautiful, amazing and full. This is what we should all want from life.
Thank you to this amazing family for letting me have the honor to take these photos.
